Burst pressure strength of corroded subsea pipelines repaired with composite fiber-reinforced polymer patches

To repair corroded subsea pipelines, composite fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) patches are often attached to the defected area. The aim of this paper is present a method assure if strength repaired pipelines sufficient enough sustain burst pressure loads. A computational model for predicting with CFRP presented. An algorithm artificial neural networks (ANN) applied. geometry corrosion damage defined by three physical parameters, namely length, width and depth. validated comparison refined finite element solutions. proposed will be useful developing quick procedure based scheme pipelines.
